Beta Capital invests in WeNou

Porto, March 1, 2021 – Focused on early-stage tech-based start-ups in the areas of ICT, Lifesciences, Industry 5.0 and Food tech, the Management Team of the Fund recognized at WeNou promising characteristics that motivated its first investment, just 60 days after its inception: an innovative technology, a highly motivated and skilled team, and market traction with potential to scale-up.

WeNou provides innovative services based on DNA analysis, especially focused on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology, starting with applications for the food industry, where the supply chain stakeholders show increasingly concerns about food authenticity, safety, and quality, while consumers are demanding more accurate information about the products.

With this investment, WeNou will be able to accelerate its growth by attracting new customers while keep on using their core expertise on NGS for refining the application of this technology to solve the growing challenges of its customers.
